Released in 1972, the Chrysler Valiant VH Charger E38 R/T was one of Australia’s most formidable performance cars of its era. Developed as the road-going version of Chrysler’s competition-focused Charger, the E38 combined aggressive styling with a potent 265ci Hemi six-cylinder engine and performance upgrades designed to deliver serious straight-line speed.

The E38 R/T featured the legendary ‘six-pack’ Hemi engine, equipped with triple Weber carburettors and supported by performance-focused engine components, tuned exhaust extractors and a heavy-duty drivetrain. Its combination of power, distinctive Charger styling and motorsport-inspired specification helped establish the E38 as one of the most desirable Australian muscle cars of the 1970s.
