Classic Carlectables 1/18 Holden EH Panel Van - TAA

Released in 1963, the EH was one of Australia's most popular-selling cars. With a new engine, clever styling changes and competitive pricing, the EH became the fastest-selling car in Australia. Catering to a wide audience, the EH was available in nine different models, including the Utility and Panel Van commercial vehicles, both sharing their rear styling with the previous EJ model.

The new powerplant, dubbed the 'Red' engine, was more powerful and economical than the previous 'Grey' engine while also requiring less maintenance. The 149cui engine delivered 100hp, an increase of 33% over the previous 'Grey' engine, while the 179cui delivered 115hp, an increase of 50%. Both engines, as well as the Hydramatic transmission, were available on the Utility and Panel Van.

Almost all models sold were equipped with the 149cui engine and manual transmission. Designed for work, the commercial variants featured durable laminated hardwood trays and were rated for a half-ton carrying capacity. The cars even featured the removal of the driver's side door lock as a safety feature when the driver was making deliveries.
