Celebrate an Australian motoring icon with the Classic Carlectables 1/18 Holden HJ Monaro GTS in Chamois. This premium diecast model captures the bold design and refined upgrades that made the HJ Monaro GTS a standout when it launched in October 1974.

Built on the success of the legendary HQ, the HJ model delivered a tougher, more assertive look to meet the rising competition from European brands. Its stronger bumpers, blacked-out grille, wrap-around rear lights, aggressive side vents and distinctive GTS decals gave the Monaro a confident new attitude. Factory-fitted front and rear spoilers, including the deep rear spoiler that accentuated the sloping boot line, added to its unmistakable road presence.

Inside, the HJ Monaro GTS continued to impress with improved comfort and attention to detail. Full foam high-backed seats were offered in multiple trims and colours, while its exclusive sports instrument panel featured clear recessed gauges, international symbol markings and multiple ventilation outlets for a more modern driving experience.

Performance also received an upgrade. Holden enhanced the local 308 engine to compensate for the detuned Chevrolet 350 that was affected by U.S. anti-pollution rules, ensuring the Monaro maintained its power and character. These refinements helped cement the HJ Monaro GTS as a favourite in the Monaro range and a lasting icon in Australia’s automotive history.
