North American P-51D Mustang 44-73843 'Old Red Nose™' is a detailed 1/72 scale die-cast model representing the historic Mustang associated with the Commemorative Air Force. The aircraft has a particularly rich heritage, having been purchased by a group of Second World War veteran pilots in 1957 and subsequently regarded as the founding aircraft of the Commemorative Air Force.

Always flown with its distinctive red spinner, the Mustang became known as 'Old Red Nose'. Its authentic wartime scheme was inspired by the red-nosed Mustangs of the 4th Fighter Group, which operated from Debden in England during the Second World War and was the highest-scoring USAAF Fighter Group during the conflict.

The aircraft was donated to the Commemorative Air Force in 1991 and continues to honour the heroes of the past by helping educate the public about the people who built, flew and maintained these historic aeroplanes.
