The Italeri F-111A Aardvark is a 1/72 scale plastic assembly model kit of the General Dynamics variable-sweep-wing fighter-bomber.

Please note this is an unassembled plastic model kit requiring assembly; glue and paint are not included and are required to complete the model.

The General Dynamics F-111 Aardvark is a twin-engine supersonic fighter-bomber with variable-sweep wings. Produced from the late 1960s, it remained in service until the late 1990s, representing a significant technological leap compared to aircraft of its time. Capable of reaching speeds of Mach 2.5 while carrying a substantial offensive payload, the F-111 flew with a crew of two seated side by side in a pressurised cockpit fitted with an escape module for emergency ejection. It saw service in several conflicts, including the Vietnam War, where it was used for nighttime bombing missions and low-altitude attacks. Sophisticated radar and terrain-following systems allowed it to fly close to the ground even in poor visibility, evading enemy defences.
