ITALERI 1/72 LEIPZIG 1813 - BATTLE OF THE NATIONS

Italeri 1/35 Pz.Kpfw. 38(t) Ausf. F

Pz.Kpfw. 38(t) Ausf. F is a 1/35 scale plastic model kit representing the Czech-designed light tank that served widely with German armoured units during the Second World War. This release includes decals for 4 versions.

Please note this is an unassembled plastic model kit requiring assembly; glue and paint are not included and are required to complete the model.

The 38(t) was created for the Czech army on the eve of World War II. Following the annexation of Czechoslovakia by Germany in 1938, it went into production for the German army, where its high-quality design made it a popular choice for armoured units. Over 80 examples were produced and used in the invasion of Poland, and around 200 vehicles took part in the Battle of France. In total, 1,200 examples of the 38(t) were built until 1942, when its armour and 3.7 cm gun had become inadequate against enemy vehicles. However, its excellent and reliable chassis was used for other specialised vehicles, in particular self-propelled artillery and tank destroyers that served until the end of the war.
