OXFORD 1/72 SPITFIRE IXE - RAF NO.310 (CZECH) 1945
$54.50
Product Information
This highly detailed 1:72 scale model replicates the historic Supermarine Spitfire LF.Mk.IXE TE565, one of the most original surviving Spitfires, now preserved at the National Technical Museum in Prague. Built at Castle Bromwich and delivered to 310 (Czech) Squadron RAF, it later served with the Czech Air Force as 'A-712' before being gifted to the museum in 1950.
Our model represents the aircraft in its final WWII configuration at RAF Manston in 1945. It features the classic dark sea grey and camouflage green upper surfaces with a dark grey underside. The tail band and spinner are painted in a distinctive greenish-blue, while bright yellow tips highlight the black propellers and wing leading edges. Red gun patches, rusty brown exhausts, and silver-hubbed black tyres add to the authenticity.
Markings include the aircraft’s TE565 serial on a pale green rear fuselage band, bold white NN-N squadron codes, and the RAF roundel. This Spitfire is a tribute to the bravery of the Czech pilots of 310 Squadron, the first foreign-manned unit in the RAF, who played a vital role from the Battle of Britain through to the war’s end.
A must-have for aviation enthusiasts and WWII history collectors.
