OXFORD 1/76 ALEXANDER M TYPE - SCOTTISH

This beautifully detailed 1:76 scale model captures the iconic Alexander M-Type coach, built for the Scottish Bus Group’s Anglo-Scottish motorway services. Registered MSP 750P, this restored example represents the No. 5 service from Scotland to London and is based on a Seddon Pennine 7 chassis with Alexander M Type C42Ft coachwork.
Finished in a striking bright blue and silver livery, the coach features a stylised Saltire flag along the sides, white wheels with blue centres, and clear roof skylights set into the vivid blue roof. Silver trim enhances the bodywork, and a unique detail includes a rear window painted white from the inside—echoing long-distance coach privacy features.
Inside, the dashboard, steering wheel, and driver’s seat are black, while the passenger seating is a vibrant red. This model is based on a fully restored coach housed at the Scottish Vintage Bus Museum in Lathalmond.
Presented on a plinth with a clear display lid and Oxford Diecast packaging, this coach is a tribute to the rich history of Walter Alexander’s coachbuilding legacy, which began in 1913 and continues today under Alexander Dennis.
