OXFORD 1/76 FORD CARGO BOX VAN - ROYAL MAIL

This 1:76 scale model captures the Ford Cargo Box Van in its later Ford Iveco branding, representing a vehicle registered G853 AMJ from 1990. Finished in Royal Mail’s signature bright red, the van features the Royal Cypher, bold Royal Mail lettering, and a yellow zigzag flash along the trailer sides. The rear carries the nostalgic slogan: “Please use your Postcode”—a reminder from the pre-SatNav era!
The Ford Cargo, originally launched in 1981, became a staple of British haulage and postal fleets. After Ford sold its European truck operations to IVECO in 1986, the Cargo continued under dual branding. This model reflects that transition with Ford Iveco badging on the front.
