The EB110, presented in 1991 to mark the 110th birthday of Ettore Bugatti, was the first vehicle produced by the newly founded Bugatti Automobil SpA until 1995. The 12-cylinder engine with five valves per cylinder, four turbochargers and a special fuel injection system enabled an impressive top speed of 340 km/h. This made the EB110 the fastest road-going sports car ever built. This made the EB110 the fastest road-going sports car of its time.
