The Queen Mary 2 is a ship of superlatives. With 150,000 GRT, 345 meters long and a height of 72 meters, when it was commissioned, it towered above everything that had existed before. Unlike normal cruise ships, she was specially designed as a robust ocean liner for the rough North Atlantic route. It offers space for 2,620 passengers, who are looked after by 1,253 crew members. Her four powerful electric motors make her one of the fastest large passenger ships in the world.
