TAMIYA 1/12 YAMAHA RZV500R

Tamiya 1/12 Yamaha RZV500R Motorcycle Plastic Model Kit

The Tamiya 1/12 Yamaha RZV500R is an updated re-issue of this landmark 2-stroke sports bike, featuring a newly added painting reference pamphlet and updated instruction manual.

Please note this is an unassembled plastic model kit requiring assembly; paints, cement and hobby tools are not included and are required to complete the model.

The Yamaha RZV500R was announced at the Tokyo Motor Show in 1983, with specifications that made it essentially equivalent to the road racer YZR500. Inheriting the YZR's lightweight, compact design, the RZV featured a 500cc 2-stroke water-cooled V4 engine capable of 64hp and a 230km/h top speed, delivering performance on par with a litre-class motorcycle. The RZV500R opened a new era of 2-stroke sports bikes, drawing on Yamaha's deep knowledge of both 2-stroke engines and racing.
