TAMIYA 1/24 MITSUBISHI GTO TWIN TURBO 1990

Tamiya 1/24 Mitsubishi GTO Twin Turbo 1990 Plastic Model Kit

The Tamiya 1/24 Mitsubishi GTO Twin Turbo 1990 recreates the technology-laden flagship that laid the foundation for Mitsubishi's high-performance 4WD sports cars of the future.

Please note this is an unassembled plastic model kit requiring assembly; paints, cement and hobby tools are not included and are required to complete the model.

First introduced at the Tokyo Motor Show as the HSX concept car, the GTO went on sale to the public in October of the following year. Bursting with power and the latest technological wonders, its combination of performance and considerable safety vaulted the car impressively onto the 4WD sports car scene. The top-grade model had a 280hp 3-litre V6 DOHC twin turbo front engine and a full-time 4WD setup with centre diff, plus electronically regulated four-wheel suspension, ABS, four-wheel steering, adjustable front and rear spoilers, and an active exhaust system that let owners tinker with the exhaust sound — the list of hi-tech design features was almost endless.
