The Tamiya 1/32 Mitsubishi A6M5 Zero Fighter Model 52 (Zeke) recreates the refined late-war Zero variant in large, highly detailed 1/32 scale, capturing the type's beautifully curved engine cowling and shortened wings in exacting form.

Please note this is an unassembled plastic model kit requiring assembly; paints, cement and hobby tools are not included and are required to complete the model.

The Mitsubishi A6M5 Zero served as the Japanese Navy's main fighter throughout the Pacific theatre during WWII. In the latter half of the war, the Model 52 — a refined evolution of the Model 22 — was developed to counter the growing numbers of high-performance U.S. aircraft. It featured a shortened 11m wingspan with rounded wingtips, retained the same 1,130hp Nakajima Sakae engine used in the Model 22, and introduced a new exhaust propulsion system that boosted top speed to 565km/h. Armed with two 7.7mm machine guns and 20mm belt-fed cannon on each wing, the A6M5 entered service in autumn 1943 and fought through the Solomon and Marianas campaigns, defending Japan against overwhelming numbers and superior aircraft right up to the war's final day.
