Tamiya 1/32 Supermarine Spitfire Mk.IXc Plastic Model Kit

Build one of the most important fighters of the Second World War with the Tamiya 1/32 Supermarine Spitfire Mk.IXc. Developed to counter the formidable Focke-Wulf Fw 190, the Mk.IX became one of the RAF's principal fighters during the latter half of WWII. Tamiya's highly detailed 1/32 scale kit faithfully recreates the Merlin-powered C-wing aircraft with exceptional attention to its engine, cockpit and external details.

Please note this is an unassembled plastic model kit requiring assembly; paints, cement and hobby tools are not included and are required to complete the model.

The Spitfire Mk.IX was powered by the Rolls-Royce Merlin 60-series engine and was introduced as a response to the appearance of the Fw 190. Most Mk.IX aircraft featured the C wing, carrying two 20mm cannons and four 7.7mm machine guns. The Mk.IXc entered service in July 1942 and combined a top speed of 669.46 km/h with the manoeuvrability that made the Spitfire such an effective fighter.
