Tamiya 1/32 Vought F4U-1A Corsair Plastic Model Kit

Build one of the most iconic American fighters of the Second World War with the Tamiya 1/32 Vought F4U-1A Corsair. This highly detailed plastic model assembly kit captures the distinctive inverted gull wings, enormous four-metre propeller and powerful Pratt & Whitney R-2800 engine of the legendary Corsair, while accurately reproducing the important changes introduced with the F4U-1A.

Please note this is an unassembled plastic model kit requiring assembly; paints, cement and hobby tools are not included and are required to complete the model.

The F4U-1A entered service in the summer of 1943 following operational experience with the earlier F4U-1. Its semi-bubble canopy significantly improved pilot visibility, while other changes included a raised pilot seat, a starboard wing leading-edge spoiler and an extended tailwheel strut. The F4U-1A was also the first Corsair variant capable of carrying bombs, adding an important fighter-bomber role to its already formidable capabilities.
