Tamiya 1/32 Vought F4U-1D Corsair WWII American Fighter-Bomber Plastic Model Kit

The Tamiya 1/32 Vought F4U-1D Corsair recreates the carrier-capable variant of the legendary inverted-gull-wing fighter in impressive 1/32 scale, with a detailed Pratt & Whitney engine, folding wings, accurate F4U-1D features, and a substantial weapons load.

Please note this is an unassembled plastic model kit requiring assembly; paints, cement and hobby tools are not included and are required to complete the model.

The F4U-1D was the first Corsair variant officially cleared for carrier operations and introduced several changes to the earlier aircraft, including a raised pilot's seat, frameless semi-bubble canopy and thicker propeller blade roots. Its hardpoints allowed it to carry bombs or drop tanks beneath the wing roots, while eight HVAR rockets could be mounted under the outer wings. The Corsair provided important fighter-bomber and close-support capability during the Pacific campaign.
