Tamiya 1/48 Grumman FM-1 Wildcat/Martlet Mk.V Plastic Model Kit

Build a detailed representation of the carrier-based Grumman FM-1 with the Tamiya 1/48 Grumman FM-1 Wildcat/Martlet Mk.V. Based upon Tamiya's 1/48 F4F-4 Wildcat tooling, this kit accurately recreates the FM-1's four-machine-gun wing and includes markings for both U.S. Navy and Royal Navy aircraft.

Please note this is an unassembled plastic model kit requiring assembly; paints, cement and hobby tools are not included and are required to complete the model.

The FM-1 was produced as an evolution of the F4F-4, retaining much of the earlier aircraft's configuration while reducing the wing-mounted armament from six machine guns to four. The Wildcat was also used by the Royal Navy under the Martlet name, continuing to serve in roles including anti-submarine patrol and convoy escort.
