Build one of the most daring fighter designs of the Second World War with the Tamiya 1/48 Lockheed P-38 F/G Lightning. Featuring its unmistakable twin-boom configuration, central cockpit nacelle and twin piston engines, this highly detailed plastic model kit recreates the early P-38F and P-38G variants in 1/48 scale.

Please note this is an unassembled plastic model kit requiring assembly; paints, cement and hobby tools are not included and are required to complete the model.

The P-38 was a revolutionary twin-engine fighter introduced in June 1941. Its twin booms housed a piston engine each, while the central nacelle contained the cockpit and concentrated nose-mounted armament. The P-38F introduced pylons capable of carrying 150-gallon drop tanks, while later P-38G aircraft featured more powerful engines and could carry larger 300-gallon tanks.
