The Tamiya 1/48 Messerschmitt Bf109E-4/7 Trop recreates the early-war Luftwaffe fighter in detailed 1/48 scale, with parts allowing the modeller to build either the E-4 or E-7 variant and add the tropical air intake and sand filter for a TROP configuration.

Please note this is an unassembled plastic model kit requiring assembly; paints, cement and hobby tools are not included and are required to complete the model.

The Messerschmitt Bf109E was the Luftwaffe's principal fighter during the first half of WWII and saw extensive combat during the Battle of Britain. The E-4 introduced improvements including reinforced cockpit protection, while the E-7 added provisions for an external fuel tank to extend its operational range. Tamiya's kit brings these differences together with optional equipment for a tropicalised aircraft used in warmer climates.
