The Tamiya 1/48 Nakajima A6M2-N Type 2 Floatplane Fighter (Rufe) recreates this distinctive Japanese floatplane fighter in detailed 1/48 scale, with plenty of engine and cockpit detail, an optional open or closed canopy, and beaching trolley parts included.

Please note this is an unassembled plastic model kit requiring assembly; paints, cement and hobby tools are not included and are required to complete the model.

The Type 2 floatplane fighter, also known as the A6M2-N and given the Allied reporting name "Rufe," was created to provide reconnaissance and defence for remote Japanese outposts such as the Aleutian Islands during WWII. The aircraft was essentially an A6M2 Zero with its landing gear replaced by floats.
