Tamiya 1/48 Vought F4U-1D Corsair with "Moto-Tug" Plastic Model Kit

Recreate a classic WWII carrier-deck scene with the Tamiya 1/48 Vought F4U-1D Corsair with "Moto-Tug". This detailed plastic model kit combines the powerful F4U-1D Corsair with a finely reproduced flight-deck tractor, creating an ideal compact vignette or a strong centrepiece for a larger naval aviation diorama.

Please note this is an unassembled plastic model kit requiring assembly; paints, cement and hobby tools are not included and are required to complete the model.

The F4U-1D was introduced in April 1944 as the first official carrier-capable version of the Corsair. It featured a raised pilot seat, bubble canopy and broader propeller blades, while its six 12.7mm machine guns and additional wing pylons allowed it to operate effectively as a fighter-bomber. The accompanying "Moto-Tug" represents the small 45hp tractors used aboard U.S. Navy aircraft carriers to position aircraft around the flight deck.
