TAMIYA 1/700 BRITISH BATTLE CRUISER HOOD AND E CLASS DESTROYER

Tamiya 1/700 British Battle Cruiser Hood and E Class Destroyer (Battle of the Denmark Strait) Plastic Model Kit

The Tamiya British Battle Cruiser Hood and E Class Destroyer set is a 1/700 scale plastic assembly model kit that brings two Royal Navy ships together in one box to recreate the opening stages of the hunt for the Bismarck.

Please note this is an unassembled plastic model kit requiring assembly; paints, cement and hobby tools are not included and are required to complete the model.

The Waterline Series tells tales of bravery and sacrifice as fought on the high seas, and the hunt for the German battleship Bismarck during WWII fully captures the spirit of this fine series. This set lets you re-enact the first stages of that classic chase with the British battle cruiser Hood and a British E Class destroyer, available together as one set. The E Class destroyer in the kit had a standard displacement of 1,350 tons, a length of 100.28m, a width of 10.13m, an output of 36,000hp and a top speed of 36 knots, and was armed with 12cm/45L Mk.IX main guns, 12.7mm quadruple AA guns and 53.3cm quadruple torpedo launchers.
