TAMIYA 1/700 JAPANESE HEAVY CRUISER SUZUYA

Tamiya 1/700 Japanese Heavy Cruiser Suzuya Plastic Model Kit

The Tamiya Japanese Heavy Cruiser Suzuya is a 1/700 scale plastic assembly model kit depicting the Mogami-class cruiser following her conversion from a light cruiser to a heavy cruiser.

Please note this is an unassembled plastic model kit requiring assembly; paints, cement and hobby tools are not included and are required to complete the model.

Suzuya was constructed as the third light cruiser of the Mogami class, but was remodeled after the London Treaty lost its validity. Her original fifteen 15.5cm triple guns were replaced with ten 20cm twin guns, transforming her into a heavy cruiser. She participated in the capture of the Malay Peninsula and the Battle of Midway before being lost during the Battle off Samar in October 1944.
