TAMIYA 1/700 U.S. SUBMARINE GATO CLASS AND JAPANESE SUBMARINE CHASER NO.13

Tamiya 1/700 U.S. Submarine Gato Class and Japanese Submarine Chaser No.13 Plastic Model Kit

The Tamiya U.S. Submarine Gato Class and Japanese Submarine Chaser No.13 set is a 1/700 scale plastic assembly model kit pairing the mass-produced American submarine with the vessel built to hunt it.

Please note this is an unassembled plastic model kit requiring assembly; paints, cement and hobby tools are not included and are required to complete the model.

Over 200 of the mass-produced U.S. Navy Gato-class submarines were built from the start of WWII and they dealt a severe blow to Japan's merchant shipping. To combat them, the Japanese Navy developed the Submarine Chaser No.13. This set includes two of each type of ship, and parts for two U.S. B-24 Liberator bombers, which were used in attacks against shipping, are also included.
