Please note this is an unassembled plastic model kit requiring assembly; paints, cement and hobby tools are not included and are required to complete the model.

The N1K1-J was developed from the Kawanishi N1K1 Kyofu and adapted into a land-based fighter. Its powerful engine and large-diameter propeller required an unusual telescopic main landing-gear arrangement, giving the Shiden its distinctive appearance.
