Tamiya 1/72 Kawasaki Ki-61-Id Hien (Tony) Plastic Model Kit

Build one of Japan's distinctive liquid-cooled fighters with the Tamiya 1/72 Kawasaki Ki-61-Id Hien (Tony). This compact plastic model assembly kit accurately captures the Hien's elongated nose, slim fuselage and long wing, while offering finely reproduced cockpit and landing gear bay detail in a display-friendly 1/72 scale.

Please note this is an unassembled plastic model kit requiring assembly; paints, cement and hobby tools are not included and are required to complete the model.

The Hien was officially adopted by the Imperial Japanese Army in 1943 and stood apart from many Japanese aircraft of the Pacific War through its liquid-cooled Ha-40 engine. The Ki-61-Id featured a 20cm-elongated nose to accommodate 20mm cannons alongside 12.7mm machine guns in the wings, and with 1,360 produced it was the most numerous Hien variant.
