This detailed plastic assembly kit captures the distinctive late-production Thunderbolt with its transparent bubble canopy, massive fuselage and powerful fighter-bomber configuration in compact 1/72 scale.

Please note this is an unassembled plastic model kit requiring assembly; paints, cement and hobby tools are not included and are required to complete the model.

The P-47D Thunderbolt was an outstanding single-seat fighter that excelled in both high-altitude bomber escort and low-altitude ground attack. Later production aircraft received a redesigned transparent bubble canopy to improve pilot visibility, creating the distinctive "Bubbletop" configuration. This Tamiya kit recreates that late-production form with newly moulded fuselage and canopy parts.
