The Tamiya 1/72 Supermarine Spitfire Mk.Vb/Mk.Vb Trop. recreates the most prolifically produced Spitfire variant of the war, with the flexibility to build either the standard Mk.Vb or the tropical-filtered Trop version deployed to hot climates.

Please note this is an unassembled plastic model kit requiring assembly; paints, cement and hobby tools are not included and are required to complete the model.

The Spitfire Mk.Vb was the most widely produced variant of the legendary Spitfire, forming the backbone of RAF fighter squadrons through the middle years of WWII. Armed with 20mm cannon-equipped wings, the Mk.Vb served across multiple theatres, and a dedicated Trop version fitted with special air filters was developed for operations in the dusty conditions of the Mediterranean and North African campaigns.
