Tamiya RC 1/10 Subaru Brat 2WD Classic Off-Road Pickup Assembly Kit

Bring a true Tamiya classic back to the workbench with the Tamiya RC 1/10 Subaru Brat 2WD. Originally released in 1983, the Brat became a popular export-market compact pickup, and this updated re-release captures its unmistakable late-1970s styling while adding improved internal components and a more capable suspension package.

Please note this is an unassembled kit requiring assembly; it ships as a build-it-yourself kit and does not arrive pre-built or ready to run.

The unique space-frame chassis uses rear-wheel drive with front double wishbone and rear trailing-arm suspension. The rear suspension is equipped with diaphragm-type oil dampers and coil springs, while a 540-type motor drives the differential-equipped gearbox through a dog-bone drive shaft. Two body shells are supplied: a highly detailed resin body for display and a lightweight polycarbonate body for running, making this Brat unusually versatile for both shelf and driving use.
