This limited-edition version combines the distinctive second-generation Golf GTI 16V body with a pre-painted red finish, giving builders a head start on the visual finishing while retaining the rewarding hands-on assembly experience of Tamiya's MB-01 platform.

The MB-01 is configured in the Golf's realistic front-motor, front-wheel-drive layout with a long 239mm wheelbase. The chassis uses symmetrical four-wheel double wishbone suspension with friction dampers, while the Golf body features separate bumpers and side mirrors, transparent headlight and taillight components and dish wheels with radial tyres.
