Command the most powerful tank of WWII with the Tamiya King Tiger "Production Turret" full-option kit. Please note this is an unassembled kit requiring construction, so builders should expect to assemble the hull, turret, and gearbox before driving. Appearing in 1944 with 150mm-thick front hull armor and a 700hp Maybach HL230-P30 engine, the King Tiger's 71-caliber 88mm gun could pierce 150mm of armor from 2,000 meters away; 440 units were completed between summer 1944 and March 1945, and the tank's fearsome reputation from the Ardennes offensive followed it to the war's final days.

This model recreates the King Tiger's massive form with an 88mm gun barrel replicated in aluminum, and its engine sounds were recorded directly from the only King Tiger kept in working condition worldwide, at the Musée des Blindés in Saumur, France — capturing every stage from idling to full throttle, plus track clanking and both crank-start and electric-start starting sounds. Firing the main gun and hull machine gun triggers light flashes with sound, and unique relief-printed stickers recreate the Zimmerit anti-magnetic-mine coating used on late-war German tanks.
