Tamiya RC 1/16 German Main Battle Tank Leopard 2 A7V – Full-Option Kit

Take control of a modern Bundeswehr flagship with the Tamiya Leopard 2 A7V, a full-option 1/16 scale kit loaded with realistic action. Please note this is an unassembled kit requiring construction, so builders should expect to assemble the hull, turret, and running gear before driving. Decided upon in 2017 as an upgrade of the Leopard 2 A7, the A7V adds additional hull front armor, reinforced suspension, and an L/55 120mm gun capable of engaging enemy armor up to five kilometers away, along with improved low-visibility sighting, new tracks, and a redesigned turret rear basket; 104 existing tanks were slated for the upgrade starting September 2021.

This model faithfully captures the powerful A7V form and offers forward and reverse motion, a range of turns and pivots, turret rotation, and gun elevation, with recoil and vehicle kickback accompanying each shot. Authentic turbo engine and firing sounds — sampled from a real V12 diesel turbo — are coordinated with model actions, and a gun barrel control system keeps the main gun automatically trained on a set direction.
