Recreate one of WWII's most balanced tank designs with the Tamiya Panther Type G Late Version, a compact 1/35 scale kit with an included control unit. Please note this is an unassembled kit requiring construction, so builders should expect to assemble the hull, turret, and gearbox before driving. Born as a direct response to the Soviet T-34, the Panther combined excellent survivability from its sloped armor with maneuverability from a 700hp Maybach HL230P30 V12 engine and firepower from its L/70 7.5cm gun; the Type G variant entered production in March 1944, and by late 1944 had been upgraded with a squared-off lower gun shield, revised muffler, and an engine grille heater unit, with 2,953 examples built by April 1945.

The model's iconic sloped-armor form comes from a hull design shared with Tamiya's 1/35 Military Miniature Series for superior realism and accuracy, and forward/reverse motion is joined by a range of turns, pivots, turret rotation, and gun elevation. A compact gearbox up front, pre-assembled turret rotation and gun elevation unit in the center, and MC-07 control unit in the rear connect via simple connectors, while assembly-type snap-together tracks provide authentic motion, and two marking options are included.
