Volkswagen Type 2 (T1) Clic-Loc Model Kit — Red/White

The Tamiya Volkswagen Type 2 (T1) Clic-Loc kit brings the beloved "Samba" microbus to your workbench in an easy, no-mess build, with a glossy red-and-white two-tone finish straight out of the box.

Please note this is an unassembled snap-fit plastic model kit; no cement or paint is required to complete the model.

March 1950 saw the debut of the Volkswagen Type 2, which took the much-loved Volkswagen Beetle as its base. An air-cooled 4-cylinder engine was mounted at the rear of the boxy yet curved body. One of the most popular variations was the "Samba" microbus, notable for its 23-window design encircling a canvas roof, a flat floor, twin side doors, and seating for 9 adults. The Type 2 (T1) remained in production until 1967 and has enjoyed massive popularity worldwide ever since.
